CM Bhupendra Patel Lays Foundation for Govt Offices, Inaugurates ₹55.31 Crore Water Distribution Station in Ahmedabad

New Revenue and Civil Supplies offices to improve public service access, while high-capacity water facility by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation will ensure adequate supply for thousands of residents in Ghatlodia area.

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel laid the foundation stone for new government offices and inaugurated a modern water distribution station in Ghatlodia area of Ahmedabad.

The initiatives aim to improve public service access and strengthen water supply infrastructure for residents in the fast-growing urban locality.

Foundation Stone for Revenue and Civil Supplies Department Offices

The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the new building of the Government Chavdi (Sarkari Chavdi) that will house offices of the Revenue Department and the Food and Civil Supplies Department.

According to officials, the new building will enable residents of Ghatlodia to access various government services at a single location, making administrative processes more convenient and efficient.

The project has been taken up by the district administration to ensure better service delivery and reduce the need for citizens to travel to multiple offices.

Officials and Public Representatives Attend the Event

The event was attended by several senior officials and public representatives, including:

  • Sujeet Kumar
  • Devang Dani
  • Banchhanidhi Pani

Local MLAs, corporators, district administration officials, and a large number of residents were also present on the occasion.

₹55.31 Crore Water Distribution Station Inaugurated

During the visit, the Chief Minister also inaugurated a newly constructed Water Distribution Station in the Ghatlodia ward of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC).

The project has been developed at a cost of ₹55.31 crore in the North-West Zone of Ahmedabad to strengthen the city’s water infrastructure.

High-Capacity Water Storage and Pumping System

The new station includes:

  • An underground tank and pump house with a capacity of 250 lakh litres
  • An overhead tank with a capacity of 25 lakh litres

The facility is designed to ensure stable and adequate water supply to rapidly developing residential areas.

Areas That Will Benefit from the New Water Facility

The project will provide improved water supply to residents across the Ghatlodia TP-2 area, including:

  • Ghatlodiya Bridge to Pavapuri Crossroads
  • Laxmangarh Crossroads
  • Sattadhar Crossroads
  • Bhuyangdev Crossroads
  • Ghatlodiya Gamtal
  • Karmachari Nagar
  • CP Nagar
  • Arjun Tower area
  • Sanskrut Flats

Officials said the new infrastructure will significantly improve water availability for thousands of households in these areas.

Focus on Urban Infrastructure and Citizen Services

The Gujarat government has been focusing on strengthening urban infrastructure and improving public service delivery in rapidly growing cities such as Ahmedabad.

The new government offices and water distribution station in Ghatlodia are expected to enhance administrative efficiency and ensure better civic amenities for residents.
