Patna: In a major push to accelerate industrial development and employment generation, the Bihar government has allocated land and plug-and-play sheds to 25 industrial units across the state. The move is expected to attract an investment of ₹168.52 crore and create 1,194 direct employment opportunities.
The initiative is part of the state government’s efforts to strengthen the industrial ecosystem under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Industries Department Accelerates Industrialisation Drive
On the directions of the state government, the Industries Department has begun taking rapid steps to establish new industrial centres across Bihar. As part of this effort, a total of 12.5 acres of land, along with ready-to-use industrial sheds, has been allocated to eligible applicants for setting up new units in different districts.

BIADA Project Committee Approves 25 Industrial Units
The decision was taken during a meeting of the BIADA Project Committee (PCC), held under the chairmanship of Kundan Kumar, Secretary, Industries Department, and Director of BIADA and IDA.
During the meeting, 25 eligible applicants were selected for allotment of industrial plots and sheds. The committee approved allocations in various industrial areas, paving the way for fresh investments and faster project execution.
₹168.52 Crore Investment to Boost State Economy
According to officials, the approved industrial units are expected to bring an investment of ₹168.52 crore into Bihar’s economy. These investments are likely to significantly strengthen the state’s manufacturing base and contribute to overall economic growth.
1,194 Direct Jobs Expected from New Units
The establishment of these 25 industrial units is projected to generate 1,194 direct employment opportunities, providing a major boost to job creation in the state. BIADA officials said the move aligns with the government’s goal of expanding employment avenues through industrial expansion.
Focus on Diverse Industrial Sectors
BIADA has allocated land and sheds to units operating across a wide range of sectors, including:
- IT and ITeS
- Food processing
- Textile industry
- Plastics
- General manufacturing
Some of the major applicants include M/s Chemplast Products & Industries, M/s AD Biomass Energy Private Limited, M/s Redcyber Solutions Private Limited, and M/s Rishabh Multigrains Private Limited, among others.
Land Allocated Across Multiple Districts
Industrial plots and plug-and-play sheds have been allotted in industrial areas located in the following districts:
- Patna
- Purnea
- Siwan
- Begusarai
- Bhagalpur
- Darbhanga
- Bhojpur
- Buxar
- Madhubani
- Nawada
- Saharsa
- West Champaran
Officials said the wide geographical spread of allocations will promote balanced regional development and attract further investments in emerging industrial clusters.
Strengthening Bihar’s Industrial Ecosystem
Since the formation of the new government, BIADA has intensified efforts to facilitate industrial growth by ensuring faster approvals, infrastructure availability, and investor support. The latest land allocation is expected to further enhance investor confidence and position Bihar as an emerging industrial destination.
