The Bihar government, under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, has implemented a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring several senior IAS officers. A formal notification was issued by the General Administration Department regarding the changes.

IAS Mihir Kumar Singh Gets New Posting
Mr. Mihir Kumar Singh (1993-batch IAS officer), currently serving as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Road Construction Department, has been relieved of his duties in that department. He will now assume charge as the ACS of the Industry Department and has also been entrusted with the additional charge of the Transport Department.
Patna Divisional Commissioner Gets Additional Role
Mr. Chandrashekhar Singh (2010-batch IAS officer), Divisional Commissioner of Patna, has been given additional charge as Secretary of the Disaster Management Department, enhancing his administrative responsibilities.
IAS B. Kartikeya Dhanji Transferred to Sugarcane Industry
Mr. B. Kartikeya Dhanji (2008-batch IAS officer), who was serving as Secretary of the Road Construction Department, has been transferred and appointed as Secretary of the Sugarcane Industry Department. In addition, he will also hold additional charge as Inquiry Commissioner in the General Administration Department.
IAS Lokesh Kumar Singh Gets Health Portfolio
Mr. Lokesh Kumar Singh (2003-batch IAS officer), currently Secretary of the Rural Development Department, has been assigned additional charge as Secretary of the Health Department, reflecting the trust placed in him to manage dual portfolios.
IAS Sandeep Kumar R. Pudkalkatti to Head Road Construction
Mr. Sandeep Kumar R. Pudkalkatti, who previously served as Secretary of the Transport Department, has been transferred and given the key responsibility of Secretary of the Road Construction Department.
This reshuffle is seen as part of the Bihar government’s continued effort to improve administrative efficiency across departments.
