Patna: The Bihar government on Monday conducted a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring five IAS officers and assigning additional charges to senior officials to strengthen departmental leadership and streamline governance.
The move comes alongside the earlier transfer of 13 district magistrates across the state, reflecting the government’s efforts to improve administrative efficiency.
Key IAS Transfers and New Responsibilities
K Senthil Kumar, an IAS Officer of 1996 batch: Principal Secretary of Planning and Development Department has been given additional charge of the SC/ST Welfare Department and appointed CEO of Mahadalit Vikas Mission.
2002 batch IAS officer Pankaj Kumar Pal: Secretary of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED) will now hold additional charge of the Rural Works Department.
Abhay Kumar Singh, 2004 batch IAS Officer: Previously Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department, he has been transferred to the Food and Consumer Protection Department. He will continue to hold additional charge of the Science and Technology Department and as Managing Director of the State Electronics Development Corporation.
2005 batch IAS Officer Divesh Sehra: Secretary of SC/ST Department has been reassigned as Secretary of the Rural Works Department and will also hold the additional charge of Vigilance Commissioner for Mines and Geology Department.
Saravanan M, an IAS officer of the 2002 batch: Secretary of the Rural Works Department has been posted to the General Administration Department.
Sandeep Kumar R Pudkalkatti: Secretary of Road Construction Department has been shifted to the Urban Development and Housing Department, with additional charge of Patna Metro Rail.
