Empowering Farmers, Women, and Entrepreneurs

Under the development program, beneficiaries of self-help groups, bank loan schemes, the Chief Minister’s Entrepreneurship Initiative, and the Pradhan Mantri Micro Food Enterprises Scheme received benefits and certificates. CM Yadav emphasised that Alirajpur’s tribal farmers would gain significantly from improved irrigation and financial support, contributing to their prosperity.

The state government has dedicated 2026 as a “Farmers’ Year” to prioritise agricultural welfare. Farmers are further supported through schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, providing ₹12,000 annually per eligible farmer (₹6,000 from the central government and ₹6,000 from the state).

Tribute to Freedom Fighters and Tribal Heritage

On the occasion of Chandrashekhar Azad’s birth anniversary, CM Yadav visited his birthplace in Bhavra (Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar) and paid homage to the martyr, acknowledging his early sacrifice for India’s independence.

CM Yadav highlighted Alirajpur’s rich tribal heritage and spiritual landmarks, including Baba Bhilt Dev, Baba Dungar Dev, Baba Patla Dev, Rani Kajal Mata, Dungri Mata, and Malwai Mata. He announced that a grand park will be developed in Chandrashekhar Azad Nagar to commemorate the revolutionary leader and preserve historical sites through the culture department.

Infrastructure and Welfare Schemes for Inclusive Growth

Significant infrastructure initiatives in Alirajpur include:

  • ₹1,800 crore Narmada Irrigation Project benefiting 170 villages
  • Road connectivity projects enhancing rural access
  • Free coaching programs for tribal children to enter government services
  • Financial support schemes for women (₹1,500 monthly) and farmers
  • Free ambulance services for emergencies and “Rahveer” scheme for accident victims

These measures aim to improve livelihoods, empower tribal communities, and provide modern amenities comparable to urban centers.

Strategic Vision for Tribal and Rural Development

CM Mohan Yadav reiterated that the state government is committed to balanced development, combining economic growth, social welfare, and cultural preservation. By investing in irrigation, rural infrastructure, and community empowerment, the initiatives in Alirajpur exemplify Madhya Pradesh’s strategy for inclusive growth, tribal upliftment, and sustainable regional progress.
