A special blood donation camp will be organised at IAS Bhawan in Patna on June 14 from 9 AM onwards to mark World Blood Donor Day. The event is being conducted through a joint initiative of the IAS, IPS, and IFS Associations, with active support from their respective Wives’ Associations and collaboration from Maa Blood Centre.
The camp will be formally inaugurated at 9:15 AM by Bihar Chief Secretary Mr. Amrit Lal Meena (1989-batch IAS officer), Director General of Police Mr. Vinay Kumar (1991-batch IPS officer), and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Mr. Prabhat Kumar Gupta (1992-batch IFS officer). Former Chief Secretary of Bihar and Jharkhand Mr. V.S. Dubey, a retired IAS officer, will grace the occasion as the chief guest.

Notably, this initiative has been organised every year since 2021. The primary aim is not only to spread awareness about blood donation but also to promote a spirit of service and solidarity within society.
Chief Secretary Mr. Amrit Lal Meena has urged all officers and their families to contribute by donating blood and boosting the morale of these “blood heroes.” He emphasised the crucial support provided by Maa Blood Centre in this noble initiative.
DGP Mr. Vinay Kumar described blood donation as the greatest form of service to humanity and appealed to all officers to actively participate and inspire their departmental colleagues to join in. Appreciating the active role of the IAS, IPS, and IFS Wives’ Associations, he called the event a source of inspiration for the wider community.
Additional Chief Secretary of Revenue and Land Reforms Department Mr. Deepak Kumar (IAS) recalled how blood donation faced severe disruption during the COVID-19 pandemic. It was during that time that the IAS Association, in collaboration with IPS and IFS Associations, launched this initiative. Today, it has grown into a significant social campaign. He appealed to everyone to take part and contribute to its success.
The IAS, IPS, and IFS Associations have called upon the public to participate wholeheartedly in this noble humanitarian mission, reminding that their contribution could help save someone’s life.
