Nashik: In a significant stride toward workplace inclusivity, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has welcomed 11 individuals with speech and hearing impairment as Driveway Salesmen across its Nashik Territory retail outlets. This initiative is part of BPCL’s nationwide Silent Voices campaign promoting inclusive employment practices.

Empowering Through Opportunity
The induction ceremony was held at Shri Sai Petroleum, Nashik, and was marked by the distribution of appointment letters to the newly recruited individuals. The event was graced by Mr. Thomas James, Head Retail – West; Mr. Mihir Joshi, State Head (Retail) – Maharashtra & Goa; and other senior BPCL officials.
This moment stands as a powerful statement on empowering the differently-abled through dignified employment in mainstream roles, reinforcing BPCL’s ongoing commitment to social equity in the workplace.

With this latest addition, BPCL has now employed 586 individuals with speech and hearing impairments across 428 retail outlets across India. The Silent Voices initiative has emerged as a national model for inclusive hiring in the oil and gas sector.
