Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has introduced the BPCL Sports Scholarship Initiative, aimed at identifying and nurturing young sporting talent across India. The initiative will provide financial assistance to promising athletes, enabling them to focus on training and competing at national and international levels without financial burdens.

The scholarship is open to Indian athletes aged 13 to 25 across multiple disciplines, including Athletics, Badminton, Cricket, Hockey, Chess, Tennis, and more. Athletes will receive a monthly stipend, a sports kit, and financial coverage for tournament expenses. Scholarships are divided into three categories:
- Budding Athlete Engagement (ages 13-17)
- Junior Athlete Engagement (ages 17-21)
- Elite Athlete Engagement (ages 21-25)
BPCL’s Director (HR) R.K. Dubey emphasized the company’s commitment to empowering young sports talent. “Through this initiative, we aim to provide the resources needed for athletes to excel and bring glory to the nation,” he said.
The program includes a diverse range of sports, with specific categories for male and female athletes. Key disciplines covered include Athletics, Badminton, Billiards & Snooker, Chess, Cricket, Golf, Hockey, Kabaddi, Squash, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Swimming, and Archery.
