Thiruvananthapuram: Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Kerala for two major community development projects. The MoU was signed at the Government Secretariat in the presence of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, BPCL Director (Refineries) and Acting Chairman & Managing Director Sanjay Khanna, BPCL Kochi Refinery Executive Director Sankar M, state ministers, and senior government officials.

Strengthening Infrastructure Through Connectivity

The first project involves the construction of a four-lane road to the Ambalamugal Industrial Hub in Ernakulam. The initiative also includes building a new bridge over the Chitrapuzha River. This development will significantly improve connectivity for industries and communities in the region, boosting accessibility and local economic growth.

Supporting Cancer Patients and Families

The second project focuses on healthcare infrastructure, with BPCL establishing an Amenity Centre at the Cochin Cancer Research Centre (CCRC) in Kochi. The facility is designed to accommodate around 185 relatives of patients undergoing treatment, ensuring comfort and support for families during extended hospital stays.
