Leadership Updates: Brajesh Kumar Tripathy’s Tenure Extended as Chief Vigilance Officer of Coal India Ltd. Until 2027

New Delhi: Mr. Brajesh Kumar Tripathy, the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Coal India Ltd., has been granted an extension of tenure for an additional two years beyond November 15, 2025. His extended term will now continue up to November 15, 2027, or until further orders, ensuring continuity in the company’s vigilance and compliance initiatives.

Experienced Leader in Vigilance and Administration

Mr. Tripathy, an IRSE officer from the 1996 exam batch, assumed charge as CVO of Coal India Limited, Kolkata, on November 16, 2022. With an impressive academic background, he holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) degree from Motilal Nehru Regional Engineering College (MNREC), Allahabad, and a Master of Technology from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.

Prior to his tenure at Coal India, Mr. Tripathy served as Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) of the Asansol Division of Eastern Railway. During his service in the railway sector, he was recognized for spearheading multiple vigilance reforms and system improvements, particularly as Chief Vigilance Officer (Engineering) in Eastern Railway. His work focused on enhancing transparency, strengthening compliance mechanisms, and streamlining administrative processes.
