Officer Trainees of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS) 2022 Batch paid a visit to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg yesterday.

The Prime Minister had a wide-ranging conversation with the Officer Trainees, asking them about their experiences since joining the federal service. Officer Trainees discussed their experiences from rural visits, Bharat darshan, and Armed Forces attachments during their training. They also apprised the Prime Minister of the transforming impact of numerous government welfare initiatives, like as the Jal Jeevan Mission and the PM Awas Yojna, which they witnessed firsthand.

The Prime Minister discussed the government’s aim on achieving saturation of social systems and how this has resulted in reaching out to every needy individual without discrimination. He urged the Officer Trainees to research the execution and effectiveness of the Aspirational District Programme, as this knowledge will be useful in supporting developing countries in the Global South.

The Prime Minister also highlighted India’s G20 presidency and questioned the Officer Trainees about their G20 meeting experiences.
