If reports are to be believed then five IPS officers of Bihar cadre will not go to the National Police Academy in Hyderabad for training at present. They were to participate in the training program to be held from 7 February to 4 March. The Home Department has given information in this regard by writing a letter to the National Police Academy.
The reason for not attending the training program of police officers has been given to the upcoming municipal elections along with the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.
On behalf of the Home Department, Navin Chandra Jha, Commander of Bihar Special Armed Police-9, SSP Babu Ram of Bhagalpur, SSP Jayant Kant of Muzaffarpur, SP Meenu Kumari of Surveillance Investigation Bureau and SP Dhurat Sayli Savlaram of Nawada for mid-career training program was named.
Secretary K. Senthil Kumar has written in the letter that 14 IPS officers of Bihar cadre have been appointed as police observers in the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
