Chandigarh: In a significant administrative move, the Naib Singh Saini-led Haryana government has undertaken a major bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring 31 IAS and 5 HCS officers. The decision, aimed at streamlining governance and enhancing departmental efficiency, includes the reshuffling of Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) and Principal Secretary-level officers.
Top-Level Appointments Across Crucial Departments
Among the key transfers are three Additional Chief Secretary appointments-
- 1990 batch IAS officer Dr. Rajshekhar Vundru has been appointed ACS, Fisheries Department.
- Vineet Garg has been named ACS, School Education Department.
- Vijendra Kumar has taken over as ACS, Cooperation Department.
These officers are expected to drive policy implementation and development programs in their respective sectors.
D Suresh Appointed as Resident Commissioner in New Delhi
In a dual-role appointment, senior bureaucrat D Suresh has been posted as-
- Resident Commissioner, Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi
- Principal Secretary, Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department, Haryana
His experience at the central interface is expected to enhance coordination between the state and the national capital, particularly for inter-governmental and public welfare initiatives.
Key Principal Secretary Postings Announced
The reshuffle also includes high-level postings in other strategic departments–
Rajiv Ranjan has been appointed Principal Secretary, Department of Youth Empowerment, tasked with expanding outreach and developmental programs for youth across Haryana.
Pankaj Aggarwal has been appointed Principal Secretary to the Chief Electoral Officer, Election Department, likely in view of upcoming local or state-level elections.
