After getting convicted in the graft case, 1991 batch IAS officer Sandeep Garg was terminated from his service by the Haryana government. This makes him the second senior IAS officer in the state who has been dismissed over corruption charges.
The order was formally issued by the Chief Secretary of Haryana, Vijai Vardhan.
Senior bureaucrat Sandeep Garg was convicted by the CBI court in Delhi, in April 2016, for amassing assets worth around Rs 3.36 crore, disproportionate to his known sources of income. He was under suspension since his conviction by the CBI court in the graft case.
