1999 batch IAS officer Vinay Kumar Choubey has been appointed as the new Secretary to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, replacing Rajiv Arun Ekka.
Choubey will also take additional charge of all the six departments including the one he was holding prior to this transfer order. A notification in this regard- issued by the personnel, administrative reforms and Rajbhasha department on Wednesday, 2 June.
Choubey will be holding the charge of secretary (urban development and housing), secretary (excise and prohibition), managing director of Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company (JUIDCO), excise commissioner, managing director of Jharkhand Beverage Corporation Ltd and managing director Greater Ranchi Development Agency.
