In a significant step toward strengthening administrative efficiency and clearing long-pending matters, the Rajasthan government has appointed three new IAS officers to its Revenue Board. This move aligns with the state’s broader governance and development agenda aimed at improving revenue adjudication and ensuring faster service delivery.
New Appointments Bring Administrative Momentum
The latest government order confirms the induction of Mr. Tikam Chand Bohra (IAS:2012:RJ), Mr. Kesarlal Meena (IAS:2015:RJ), and Mr. Ajeet Singh Rajawat into the Revenue Board as newly appointed members.
Mr. Bohra presently serves as the Managing Director of RAJFED Jaipur, Mr. Meena works as Additional Director and ex-officio Joint Secretary in the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, while Mr. Rajawat holds the position of Director at the Institute of Oriental Studies, Jodhpur.
Strengthening the IAS Quota Positions
With these strategic appointments, all four IAS-quota posts approved for the Revenue Board now stand filled. The trio joins Dr. Shivprasad Singh, who is already serving as a member, thereby ensuring a complete and balanced representation of senior bureaucrats within the board.
A Push for Faster Disposal of Revenue Cases
The primary focus behind inducting the three senior administrators is to expedite the disposal of pending revenue cases across Rajasthan. This decision is expected to accelerate case resolution, enhance accountability, and improve the overall functioning of the board — a key institution in land-related governance and dispute settlement.
Vacancies Still Persist Across Other Quotas
While the IAS quota has achieved full strength, the Revenue Board still faces manpower gaps. Out of the total 20 sanctioned posts, 7 remain vacant. Of the 12 sanctioned posts under the RAS quota, only 7 officers are currently in place, leaving 5 positions open. Similarly, all four posts sanctioned under the judicial and lawyer quotas continue to remain unfilled, signaling the need for further appointments to achieve full institutional capacity.
