Bhopal: Following Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav’s return from official visits to Spain and Dubai, a significant reshuffle has taken place within the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister’s Secretariat. On Tuesday night, 2008 batch IAS officer Sibi Chakkravarthy was relieved from his duties as Secretary to the Chief Minister and reassigned as Managing Director of the Madhya Pradesh Housing Development Corporation.
Sibi Chakravarti’s Shift from Secretariat to Housing Corporation
Mr Chakkravarthy had been serving as Secretary to the Chief Minister, having replaced Bharat Yadav earlier. Alongside his Secretariat responsibilities, he was also managing the Housing Development Corporation on an additional charge basis. The latest government order directs Mr Chakkravarthy to focus solely on his role as MD of the Housing Development Corporation.
No Replacement Yet for Secretary Post
As of now, no new appointment has been made to fill Mr Chakkravarthy’s vacancy in the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Elaiah Raja T continues in his capacity as Secretary, while Alok Kumar Singh had previously served as Additional Secretary. The Secretariat’s leadership remains in flux amid this reshuffle.
Reshuffle Linked to Mandloi’s Appointment
The reshuffle in the CM Secretariat comes shortly after the appointment of Neeraj Mandloi as Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister. This change is viewed as a strategic move in restructuring the Chief Minister’s core team following Dr. Mohan Yadav’s foreign visits
