Ranchi: In a significant leap toward digital healthcare, Central Coalfields Limited (CCL) has launched an Online Pathology Report Portal, aimed at improving accessibility, efficiency, and transparency in medical services for its employees and their families.
The facility was inaugurated by Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (HR), in the presence of Dr. Ratnesh Jain, Chief Medical Services (CMS), CCL, and Dr. R.K. Singh, Chief Medical Officer Incharge, Gandhi Nagar Hospital (GNH), Ranchi.
A Step Towards Digital and Patient-Centric Care
Developed jointly by CCL’s Systems Department and the Department of Pathology, the portal allows patients to access their pathology test reports securely from the comfort of their homes. This eliminates the need for physical visits just to collect reports, significantly reducing waiting times and delays in treatment.
Director (HR) Harsh Nath Mishra, during the launch, emphasized the company’s focus on employee welfare:
“CCL gives top priority to the health and safety of its employees and their families. This portal will bring a big and positive change in this direction.”

Faster Reports, Quicker Medical Response
The portal will not only make reports easily accessible but also enable doctors to make quicker, data-driven medical decisions, thus improving patient outcomes. In critical health scenarios, even a few hours can make a difference—this digital access ensures that diagnosis and treatment are not delayed due to logistical barriers.
The platform is designed with a secure login mechanism to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of patient data. With the shift to digital records, CCL is also paving the way for better health data management and future integrations like telemedicine consultations and AI-based diagnostics.
Strengthening Employee Welfare Through Innovation
This initiative is part of CCL’s broader commitment to employee welfare and digital transformation, aligning with the larger goals of Coal India and the Ministry of Coal to modernize public sector undertakings with a focus on efficiency and sustainability.
CCL has consistently invested in upgrading its medical infrastructure—recent initiatives include mobile medical vans, upgraded hospital equipment, and partnerships for specialist services. The pathology portal marks a natural extension of these efforts, bringing services in line with contemporary digital standards.
With the launch of the online pathology portal, CCL reinforces its role as not just a mining giant but a forward-looking organization that prioritizes the health, dignity, and well-being of its workforce. The move is expected to benefit thousands of employees and dependents across its operational areas and sets a benchmark for other PSUs in adopting digital health innovations.
