New Delhi: The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has extended the deadline for filling four Level-11 Under-Secretary positions under the 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC). The new deadline is July 31, 2025 – marking the third extension from the original closing date of May 21. Previous deadlines were set for June 10 and then June 30, indicating continued challenges in attracting eligible applicants.
Applications Sought on Deputation Basis
As per the circular dated April 22, 2025, the Department of Expenditure is seeking applications from officers belonging to the All-India Services (AIS) or other Organised Group-A services. Selected officers will be appointed on a deputation basis for the duration of the Commission’s tenure.
Eligibility Focuses on Pay Expertise and Data Skills
Candidates applying for the posts are expected to have prior experience in managing matters related to Central government pay structures. Additionally, applicants must possess strong data analysis capabilities to contribute effectively to the Pay Commission’s objectives.
Tenure Matching Pay Commission Duration
The tenure for selected officers will match the entire duration of the 8th CPC. Upon the Commission’s conclusion, officers may be considered for redeployment under the Central Staffing Scheme, subject to their remaining service period.
