The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) in Raipur has officially released the results of the State Service Examination-2024, marking a significant milestone for aspirants seeking roles in the state’s administrative and development-oriented departments. This year’s merit list showcases exceptional performances, with boys securing most of the top positions while two girls also marked their place among the top ten.

Top Performers Lead with Remarkable Scores
Leading the merit list, Mr. Devesh Kumar Sahu secured the first position with an impressive 773 marks. Following closely are Mr. Swapnil Verma with 769.5 marks, Mr. Yashwant Kumar Dewangan with 769 marks, Mr. Poleshwar Sahu with 767 marks, and Mr. Paras Sharma with 758 marks.
Among the top ten performers, Ms. Shatakshi Pandey scored 756.5, Mr. Ankush Banerjee achieved 756, Ms. Srishti Gupta obtained 755.5, Mr. Prashant Verma matched the same score of 755.5, while Mr. Sagar Verma rounded off the top list with 745.5 marks.
The commission had earlier announced 246 vacancies across 17 state services.
Comprehensive Examination and Selection Process
The written examination, conducted between June 26 and June 29, witnessed a total of 3737 candidates qualifying for the next stage. This was followed by interviews held from November 10 to November 20. Upon completion of the interview process, the commission released the names of the successful candidates late Thursday night, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the recruitment cycle.
Key Administrative and Developmental Posts to Be Filled
The recruitment drive will facilitate appointments to several crucial posts that play a direct role in Chhattisgarh’s governance and development. These include:
Deputy Collector, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Chhattisgarh State Finance Service Officer, District Excise Officer, Assistant Director (Finance Department), Assistant Director (Panchayat and Rural Development Department), Assistant Director/District Women and Child Development Officer, Assistant Director (Social Welfare Department), Chief Executive Officer Janpad Panchayat, Child Development Project Officer, Chhattisgarh Subordinate Accounts Service Officer, Naib Tehsildar, State Tax Inspector, Excise Sub-Inspector, Sub-Registrar, Cooperative Inspector/Cooperative Extension Officer, and Assistant Jail Superintendent.
Final Selection List Awaited After Post Allocation
The CGPSC has emphasized that the declared list is purely a merit list based on marks obtained in the mains and interviews. Post allocation will be carried out in accordance with the candidates’ preferences and their merit ranking.
