Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Union Territory Administration has repatriated Punjab cadre IAS officers Harsuhinder Pal Singh Brar and Rubinderjit Singh Brar to their parent state, Punjab, following the completion of their deputation period with the Chandigarh Administration.
Chandigarh IAS Officers Repatriated
Harsuhinder Pal Singh Brar and Rubinderjit Singh Brar, who were serving on deputation in Chandigarh, have now returned to Punjab.
Their repatriation necessitated a redistribution of administrative responsibilities within the UT Administration.
Charges Assigned to PCS and HCS Officers
In the wake of their departure, the Chandigarh Administration assigned the charges previously held by the IAS officers to capable PCS and HCS officers:
Amandeep Singh Bhatti (PCS) has been given the charge of:
- Director, School Education
- Additional Excise & Taxation Commissioner-cum-Deputy Excise & Taxation Commissioner-cum-Collector (Excise)
Radhika Singh (HCS) has been entrusted with multiple responsibilities:
- Director, Higher Education
- Director, Technical Education
- Project Director, Educity
- Controller-cum-Joint Secretary, Printing & Stationery
- Joint Secretary, Cooperation
Administrative Restructuring
With this reassignment, both PCS and HCS officers have taken on additional duties alongside their current responsibilities, ensuring continuity in the functioning of key departments in Chandigarh.
The UT Administration stated that these changes are part of routine administrative processes following the repatriation of officers on deputation and reaffirmed its commitment to smooth governance.
