Strict Stand on Revenue Case Pendency
Taking serious note of the rising number of pending revenue cases, Mr. Sai directed officials to ensure their time-bound resolution. “The era of repeated hearings is over. All revenue cases must be resolved within the timeframe fixed by the government,” he said. The Chief Minister reviewed issues such as mutation, undisputed and disputed partitions, record corrections, error rectification, land acquisition, demarcation, and diversion cases. He emphasised that harassment of beneficiaries must end, as delays reduce people’s trust in governance.
Digital Transformation in Revenue Administration
Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh (1997-batch IAS officer), directed that all revenue cases be registered on the e-court platform for better monitoring. He further instructed that a campaign be launched at the tehsil level by patwaris to focus on record correction and error rectification, ensuring smoother management of land records.
Focus on Infrastructure and Land Acquisition
Highlighting the importance of infrastructure growth, Mr. Sai urged officials to expedite land acquisition and compensation processes for national highways, the Bharatmala project, and other key road, rail, and mobile tower projects. Special attention was given to Bastar’s Narayanpur, Dantewada, Sukma, and Bijapur districts. He said transparency and accountability in revenue administration were essential for fair and timely governance.
Strengthening Agriculture and Farmer Support
The Chief Minister directed officials to accelerate farmer registration and ensure the timely completion of the digital crop survey. He underlined that strengthening agricultural administration would directly benefit farmers and improve service delivery at the grassroots level.
Rajat Mahotsav Preparations Underway
The review meeting also focused on preparations for Chhattisgarh’s Rajat Mahotsav, marking 25 years of the state’s formation. Beginning on August 15, the silver jubilee celebrations will run for 25 weeks, showcasing the state’s development journey. Mr. Sai instructed collectors to organize district-level events, ensure active public participation, and intensify publicity campaigns through official portals.
Public Service Outreach During Celebrations
As part of the Rajat Mahotsav, the state will observe ‘Seva Pakwada’ from September 17 to October 2. During this period, blood donation drives, health camps, and revenue camps will be organized to connect every citizen with the celebrations and reinforce public outreach initiatives.
