Mr. Subodh Kumar Singh, a 1997-batch IAS officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, has been appointed as Principal Secretary in the Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai’s Office (CMO). The state government issued the order on Friday, confirming earlier reports about his likely posting in this critical role.
On December 17, the central government approved Mr. Singh’s repatriation to his parent cadre at the request of the Chhattisgarh government. Following his repatriation, Mr. Singh formally rejoined the cadre and assumed his new position in the CMO on Friday.
Before his return, Mr. Singh served as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Steel at the central level.
Notably, during the tenure of former Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh, Mr. Singh had also served in the Chief Minister’s Office and handled several key departments, showcasing his extensive administrative experience and expertise in governance.
