Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Noida International Airport on October 30. Ahead of this, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will assume full security command at the airport, in the presence of Director General Rajvinder Singh Bhatti.
The airport will have a three-tier security system comprising CISF personnel, private airport security staff, and Uttar Pradesh Police. Two police stations—one for international and one for domestic passengers—have been established within the airport to ensure VVIP and passenger safety.
Before commercial flights commence, CISF will conduct thorough inspections and implement security check protocols. The Home Ministry has sanctioned 1,030 security personnel, with numbers expected to increase as passenger traffic grows.
State-of-the-art security equipment has been deployed, including Marksman armored SUVs, AI-enabled CCTV cameras, and robotic systems capable of detecting and defusing bombs. The CISF will handle the primary security circle, including the main gate, runway, terminal building, and interior areas. Private personnel will cover the second circle, while state police will monitor the outer third circle.
Noida International Airport is being developed as India’s largest international airport, with plans for five runways and an estimated annual passenger capacity of 12 million in the first phase, eventually reaching 70 million upon full development. Security measures will expand in line with airport growth.
