New Delhi: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has once again reaffirmed its intellectual and professional excellence by clinching the top position at the 30th CAPFs–NHRC Debate Competition 2025. With this victory, CISF has created yet another milestone by winning the prestigious Rolling Trophy for the 12th year in a row, a streak maintained uninterrupted since 2014.
The annual debate is regarded as one of the most respected platforms for evaluating the analytical and communication skills of officers from various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
High-Level Participation and Intense Competition
This year’s competition was hosted by the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) and witnessed participation from 24 debaters representing six CAPFs. The event featured multiple rounds that tested participants’ reasoning abilities, depth of understanding on contemporary issues, and clarity of thought—skills crucial for leadership roles within security forces.
Officials noted that the quality of arguments presented this year demonstrated a high level of preparation and awareness among the participants, making the contest both engaging and intellectually stimulating.
Event Held at Atal Urja Bhawan
The competition took place at the Atal Urja Bhawan in New Delhi, where several senior officials from the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) and representatives from different government organisations were present.
The chief guest commended the participants for their articulate presentations and awarded the CISF team the winners’ trophy. He also felicitated the runner-up teams for their impressive performances.
CISF Officers Shine in Individual Categories
CISF’s dominance extended beyond the team title, as its officers secured the top positions in both the Hindi and English categories:
- Assistant Commandant Mayank Verma clinched first place in the Hindi category.
- Assistant Commandant Arudhnati V secured first place in the English category.
Their performances were praised for clarity, confidence, and well-reasoned arguments, significantly strengthening CISF’s overall point tally.
Impressive Showing by Other Forces
In the Hindi category, Assam Rifles achieved the second position, while the Border Security Force (BSF) secured third place.
In the English category, Assam Rifles again earned the second spot, followed by the National Security Guard (NSG) in third place.
Officials highlighted that the close competition among the forces reflected the growing emphasis on intellectual development and communication training within CAPFs.
Symbol of CISF’s Intellectual Leadership
CISF’s successive victories over more than a decade underscore the force’s commitment not only to operational excellence but also to fostering critical thinking, leadership, and debate culture among its officers.
The achievement reinforces CISF’s standing as a force that balances physical strength with academic, moral, and professional depth—qualities essential in the evolving landscape of national security.
