Dehradun: Pushkar Singh Dhami, Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, has approved ₹44.64 crore for various development works across the state. The funds will be used to strengthen public infrastructure, disaster mitigation initiatives, industrial training institutes, community facilities, and block-level healthcare services.
The financial approval aims to improve public amenities, enhance disaster preparedness, and strengthen infrastructure in several districts.
Funds for Disaster Risk Reduction
The Chief Minister has approved ₹1 crore as the first installment for activities related to the National Landslide Risk Mitigation Program (NLRMP) organized by the National Disaster Management Authority.
The program focuses on identifying landslide-prone areas and implementing mitigation measures to reduce risks in vulnerable regions of Uttarakhand.

Upgradation of Industrial Infrastructure
To improve industrial infrastructure, ₹1.99 crore has been sanctioned for repair and strengthening work at government industrial estates under the MSME infrastructure development scheme.
This initiative is expected to support local industries and promote employment opportunities in the state.
Funds for Tribal Hostels in Udham Singh Nagar
Financial assistance has also been approved for renovation and construction works at government tribal hostels in Udham Singh Nagar district.
- ₹46.14 lakh for renovation and construction at the Government Tribal Hostel in Khatima.
- ₹37.71 lakh for similar works at the Government Tribal Hostel in Kashipur.
These projects aim to improve living conditions and facilities for tribal students.
Community Infrastructure in Dehradun and Mussoorie
Several community infrastructure projects have also received funding:
- ₹38.97 lakh for renovation and parking construction at the Gorkha Sangh Dharamshala in Chandrabani under the Dharmapur Assembly Constituency in Dehradun.
- ₹65.93 lakh for renovation and beautification of the community hall in Guniyal village in the Mussoorie Assembly Constituency.
These projects are expected to improve public spaces and community facilities for residents.
Major Expansion of Sitarganj District Jail
The largest allocation—₹38.15 crore—has been approved for the expansion of the District Jail in Sitarganj.
The expansion project aims to improve prison infrastructure and accommodate growing requirements.
Strengthening Block-Level Public Health Units
Under the recommendations of the Finance Commission of India (15th Finance Commission), the state government has approved the release of ₹1.62 crore for block-level public health units.
The funds will support the approved action plan for FY 2024-25 and will be released during FY 2025-26 through local governance institutions.
Focus on Infrastructure and Public Welfare
With these approvals, the Uttarakhand government aims to strengthen infrastructure, support disaster management efforts, improve community facilities, and enhance healthcare access at the grassroots level.
