Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav inaugurated the exhibition themed “Building Cities of Tomorrow” at the Brilliant Convention Center during the ongoing Madhya Pradesh Growth Conclave 2025. The exhibition featured pioneering urban development projects, innovative infrastructure models, and forward-looking policies shaping the future of cities across the state.
Expressing his appreciation, the Chief Minister lauded the exhibition for effectively showcasing the state’s commitment to creating sustainable, smart, and resilient urban centers.
Showcasing Indore’s Development Model
A prominent feature of the exhibition was the Indore Development Authority’s model focusing on infrastructure enhancement through Public-Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives. Highlighted projects included:
- A multipurpose sports park
- A convention center near the airport
- A startup park aimed at fostering entrepreneurial culture
A digital information system using QR codes was implemented at the exhibition, which impressed Dr. Yadav for its innovation in providing project details.
Metro Rail: Backbone of Future Cities
The exhibition prominently showcased the Indore Metro Rail Project (Yellow Line) and the Bhopal Metro Rail Project (Orange and Blue Lines). Models and panels detailed:
- Indigenous technology used in building modern metro trains
- The critical role of metro rail systems in enabling efficient and sustainable urban mobility
- Rolling stock and other state-of-the-art infrastructure components
- Technology-Driven Urban Growth Policies
- Five transformational policy frameworks steering technology-led development were presented, including:
- ITES & ESDM Investment Promotion Policy 2023
- Global Capability Centre (GCC) Policy 2025
- Drone Promotion and Utilization Policy 2025
- AVGC-XR Policy 2025 (Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics, Extended Reality)

MP Industrial Development Corporation’s Dynamic Exhibit
The MP Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), Indore showcased:
- Rapidly evolving IT infrastructure
- Industrial ecosystem growth
Urban development projects including Plug and Play facilities in Indore-Pithampur Economic Corridor, IT Parks 3 & 4, Super Corridor, Working Women Hostel, and Readymade Garment Complex
Green Development and Innovation
The exhibition also highlighted eco-friendly innovations such as:
- Use of polycarbonate sheets to maximize natural light in homes, a sustainable product suited to Central India
- Robotic parking systems to alleviate urban parking woes
- Electric vehicles (EVs) for garbage collection and disposal to promote green urban management
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav commended state industrialists for their dedication to these green initiatives.
