Varanasi: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday reviewed the ongoing preparations at Banaras Railway Station ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency beginning Friday (November 7).
The Chief Minister inspected various sections of the station and took detailed updates from senior officials of the Railways and district administration on the progress of beautification works, security readiness, passenger amenities, and event venue setup.
Strict Directions on Cleanliness and Security
During the inspection, CM Yogi issued strict instructions to ensure that all arrangements were completed with precision and coordination.
He emphasized that cleanliness, crowd management, and security at and around the railway station must be top priorities.
Officials were also asked to ensure seamless coordination between railway authorities, police, and the local administration to manage the expected large turnout of people during the Prime Minister’s visit.

PM Modi to Flag Off Varanasi–Khajuraho Vande Bharat Train
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the Varanasi–Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express on November 8 from Banaras Railway Station.
Along with this flagship service, the Prime Minister will also flag off three other trains, marking a major step in improving regional rail connectivity.

Significance of the Review
The Chief Minister’s inspection tour, coming just a day before the Prime Minister’s arrival, is being seen as crucial in finalizing the preparations and ensuring that every aspect of the event runs flawlessly.
Officials from both the North Eastern Railway and Varanasi district administration have been working round the clock to complete the beautification and infrastructural upgrades at the station ahead of the visit.
