Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday reviewed several key development projects of Uttar Pradesh in a high-level meeting. The projects include Ganga Expressway, Noida International Airport (Jewar), irrigation projects, energy projects, logistics hubs, and education initiatives. The Chief Minister said these projects are turning Uttar Pradesh into a new hub of economic growth and investment.
Timely and Quality Completion Is Top Priority: CM Yogi
CM Yogi Adityanath clearly stated that timely completion with high quality is the government’s top priority. He instructed officials to regularly monitor progress and ensure that all projects are completed within the fixed timeline and according to set standards.
Ganga Expressway to Be Completed by February 2026
While reviewing the 594-km-long Ganga Expressway, the Chief Minister directed that the project should be completed by the end of February 2026.
He said the expressway will significantly improve connectivity across the state and provide a strong base for industrial, agricultural, and logistics activities.

Irrigation Projects to Boost Farmers’ Income
Mid Ganga Canal Project (Stage-2)
The Chief Minister said irrigation projects play a crucial role in increasing agricultural production and farmers’ income.
The Mid Ganga Canal Project will expand irrigation facilities in Amroha, Moradabad, and Sambhal, strengthening the rural economy.
Erich Irrigation Project
Reviewing the Erich Irrigation Project, CM Yogi said it is vital for water conservation, irrigation, and drinking water supply in the Bundelkhand region. He instructed officials to complete all pending works without delay.
Hydropower Projects to Strengthen Energy Security
CM Yogi reviewed hydropower projects in the Rihand and Obra regions.
Officials informed that pump storage-based projects in these areas will help meet future energy needs and support the use of renewable energy, strengthening the state’s energy security.
Jewar Airport to Become Global Connectivity Hub
While reviewing the Noida International Airport, Jewar, the Chief Minister directed officials to move forward with land acquisition for Phase-3.
He said the airport will play a key role in global connectivity, investment, and job creation.

- First phase to serve over 10 million passengers annually
- Will develop Uttar Pradesh as an air cargo hub
- Major boost to trade and tourism
Faster Execution of Logistics and Transport Hubs in Greater Noida
The Chief Minister reviewed the progress of the Multimodal Logistic Hub and Multimodal Transport Hub in Greater Noida.
He instructed officials to speed up work and maintain continuous coordination with central ministries, especially for proposed railway stations.
He said improved logistics infrastructure will reduce industry costs and make Uttar Pradesh a major manufacturing and supply-chain hub.
CM Model Composite School Scheme to Improve Education Quality
Reviewing the Chief Minister Model Composite School Scheme, CM Yogi called it a visionary step towards quality education.
Key Features:
- 150 model schools to be set up across 75 districts
- Modern classrooms and science laboratories
- Digital learning facilities
- Sports and co-curricular infrastructure
He directed officials to speed up land selection in districts where land has not yet been finalized.
Focus on Flyovers, Industrial Corridors and Rail Connectivity
CM Yogi also stressed the need to accelerate work on the Chilla Elevated Flyover.
The meeting included discussions on:
- Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor
- Bahraich–Shravasti–Balrampur–Siddharthnagar–Sant Kabir Nagar rail connectivity project
The new rail line will connect border and aspirational districts, boosting regional development, trade, and passenger convenience. District magistrates were instructed to ensure timely land availability.

Concluding the meeting, CM Yogi said that development is not just construction, but delivering useful projects on time with quality. He directed officials to ensure regular review and faster execution, so that Uttar Pradesh’s development journey continues at a strong pace.
