Angul, Odisha: As monsoon brings risks of vector-borne diseases, National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has stepped up its CSR efforts by deploying Mobile Health Units (MHUs) from its Smelter & Power Complex in Angul. The initiative, active during the current rainy season, delivers primary healthcare to nearby villages and promotes awareness on dengue and malaria.

Mobile Clinics Bring Healthcare to Doorsteps

NALCO’s MHUs regularly visit peripheral villages around its S&P Complex. These mobile clinics provide essential medical consultations and distribute necessary medication. During the monsoon period, they have also launched a focused awareness campaign on dengue and malaria to educate villagers about symptoms, prevention, and timely treatment.
Awareness Drive Strengthens Community Health

The special campaign features educational outreach through talks, distribution of information materials, and engagement with local families. It aims to encourage early detection of fever, mosquito avoidance practices, and prompt medical attention, thereby reducing the burden of seasonal illnesses.
This effort aligns with NALCO’s mission to enhance rural well-being through proactive public health measures supported by its CSR vision.
