New Delhi: The central deputation tenure of senior officer Arti Chhabra Srivastava (IOFS:1990), serving as Additional Secretary (JS level) in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC), has been extended until her superannuation on January 31, 2027.
An order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on November 25, 2025, confirmed that the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) approved the CVC’s proposal for the extension. Srivastava’s deputation was earlier scheduled to end on December 16, 2025.
Srivastava has been serving as Additional Secretary (JS level) in the CVC since March 2022. Prior to this, she held the position of Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) at SEBI from December 16, 2018, bringing significant expertise in vigilance and regulatory matters to the CVC.
Ratan Sanjay Katiyar Gets Two-Year Extension as IG, SSB
Senior IPS officer Ratan Sanjay Katiyar (IPS:1998:BH), serving as Inspector General (IG) in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), has been granted a two-year extension of his deputation tenure.
The DoPT order dated November 25, 2025, confirmed that the ACC approved the extension, allowing Katiyar to continue in his role until January 19, 2028. His original appointment as IG, SSB was issued on January 14, 2021, for a five-year tenure, which was earlier scheduled to end in January 2026.
Katiyar’s extended tenure ensures continuity of leadership in the SSB, a key paramilitary force responsible for safeguarding India’s borders.

These extensions reflect the government’s approach to retain experienced officers in critical central roles, ensuring stability and continuity in governance, vigilance, and border security. Both Srivastava and Katiyar bring extensive administrative and operational expertise, enhancing the effectiveness of their respective organizations.
