New Delhi: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has issued fresh orders assigning additional vigilance responsibilities to senior officers from the Indian Defence Estates Service (IDES) and the Indian Ordnance Factories Service (IOFS).
SVR Chandra Sekhar Gets Addl Charge of CVO, NMDC
SVR Chandra Sekhar (IDES:2000), currently serving as Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Kudremukh Iron Ore Company Limited (KIOCL), Bengaluru, has been entrusted with the additional charge of CVO, National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC), Hyderabad.
The DoPT order dated August 5, 2025, specifies that Sekhar’s new assignment is effective from August 3, 2025, and will continue for a period of six months, or until the appointment of a regular CVO at NMDC, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Abhishek Ranjan to Hold Addl Charge at Hindustan Shipyard Limited
In a similar move, Abhishek Ranjan (IOFS:2008), currently posted as CVO of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Limited (GRSE), Kolkata, has been given additional charge as CVO of Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL), Visakhapatnam.
According to the DoPT order dated August 6, 2025, Mr. Ranjan’s assignment is effective retrospectively from June 1, 2025, and will be valid for six months, i.e., up to November 30, 2025, or until further orders or the appointment of a full-time CVO in HSL.
