New Delhi: HMT Limited (Hindustan Machine Tools), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, has announced the appointment of Mr. Datania Dineshbhai Ramjibhai (also referred to as Dataniya Dineshbhai Ramjibhai) as a Non-Official Director on its Board of Directors.
According to the company’s regulatory filing, the appointment has been approved by the Competent Authority of HMT Ltd for a term of three years, effective from the date of official notification or until further orders, whichever comes earlier.

Regulatory Compliance Underway
HMT Ltd stated that it is in the process of completing all necessary formalities pertaining to the appointment, in compliance with the Companies Act, 2013 and the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. The company will make requisite statutory disclosures in due course.
HMT operates under the Ministry of Heavy Industries and has played a crucial role in India’s industrialization, historically known for manufacturing watches, tractors, and machine tools.
This appointment is part of the government’s broader push to bring in external expertise and strengthen governance in state-owned enterprises.
