In a celebration of ambition, perseverance, and public service, the Delhi government honoured 56 successful candidates of the civil services examination, marking a significant step toward nurturing future leaders of the nation.
At the ‘Delhi ke Gaurav: UPSC Achievers Felicitation Ceremony 2026’ held at the Mukhyamantri Janseva Sadan in New Delhi, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta felicitated the achievers and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the capital’s education ecosystem.
Addressing the gathering, she emphasised that the government aims to ensure that every student has access to quality education, proper guidance, and adequate resources to succeed in competitive examinations like the Civil Services Examination.
BUILDING FUTURE LEADERS THROUGH EDUCATION
“Our goal is to produce a large number of IAS, IPS officers, doctors, and engineers from the capital every year,” Rekha Gupta said, underlining the importance of a robust and inclusive education system.
She highlighted that the success of these candidates goes beyond personal achievement. It represents a step toward nation-building, as these officers will play a vital role in strengthening governance and delivering welfare schemes to the last mile.

The Chief Minister also interacted with the selected candidates, discussing their preparation journeys, challenges, and suggestions. She noted that such insights from the youth would help shape better policies and create more opportunities for future aspirants.
Senior officials, including Chief Secretary Rajiv Verma and Divisional Commissioner Neeraj Semwal, were present at the event.
The initiative, organised in collaboration with the Revenue Department, reflects the government’s focus on empowering students and creating a pipeline of capable administrators who will contribute to the country’s growth and development.
