Mumbai: In a major step toward expanding digital access and citizen convenience, Bank of India (BOI) has partnered with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD) under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) to integrate more than 250+ government services with the bank’s Omni Neo App.
This initiative makes Bank of India the first bank in the country to integrate with the UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) platform, enabling seamless access to a wide array of central and state government services through its digital banking app.
Transformative MoU to Enhance Digital Inclusion
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on June 27, 2025, in New Delhi, at the NeGD Division, MeitY. The event was attended by senior officials from both organizations. Shri Debabrata Nayak (Chief Technology Officer) and Smt. Shampa Sudhir Biswas (General Manager, Bank of India) led the signing on behalf of BOI.
From NeGD, Shri Rajnish Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, praised the collaboration, noting that “Bank of India is the first bank to integrate with UMANG platform to enable a wider section of citizens to access essential government services seamlessly using a banking platform.”

Services Now Available via BOI Omni Neo App
Citizens using the BOI Omni Neo App will now be able to access critical government services related to:
- EPFO (Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation)
- PAN Services
- Passport Seva
- Indian Railways
- ESIC (Employees’ State Insurance Corporation)
…and over 250 other government services.
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in bridging the digital divide and extending last-mile delivery of digital public services through widely-used banking infrastructure.

Speaking at the ceremony, Smt. Shampa Sudhir Biswas said, “Bank of India is proud to partner with NeGD and MeitY in advancing the Digital India vision.
