National Conference on Digital India, Land Administration, and Disaster Management to Be Held in Gandhinagar – 7 Key Themes to Watch

Gandhinagar: A landmark National Conference on Digital India, Land Administration, and Disaster Management is scheduled to take place on October 3 and 4, 2025, at Mahatma Mandir, Gandhinagar. The event will bring together policymakers, experts, and officials from across India to discuss and collaborate on advancing the objectives of the Digital India Land Records Modernisation Program (DILRMP).

Chief Minister and National-Level Participation

The conference will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, who will join representatives from various states and union territories. The attendees will include senior officials engaged in revenue and disaster management, central and state government officers, and experts from prestigious institutions such as NIC, Survey of India, NDMA, GSDMA, BISAG-N, GNLU, IIM-A, IIT Gandhinagar, ISRO, CEPT, TISS, along with stakeholders from the banking sector, technology companies, CREDAI, and the legal fraternity.

Objectives and Focus Areas

Dr. Jayanti Ravi, Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue Department, highlighted that the conference is designed as a pivotal step in realizing the DILRMP goals. The event will focus on knowledge sharing, capacity building, and showcasing innovation in land administration and disaster management.

The conference will emphasize technology-enabled solutions such as e-registration, re-survey activities, and dispute resolution mechanisms. It will facilitate discussions on creating a national roadmap for integrated land administration, promoting paperless operations, and enhancing urban land record systems.

Gujarat’s Role and Infrastructure Strength

Dr. Jayanti Ravi praised Gujarat’s modern infrastructure and prior experience in hosting national-level events, expressing confidence that these factors would contribute to the conference’s success. Special sessions will highlight Gujarat’s re-survey activities, challenges faced, and solutions implemented as best practices for other states.
