New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has entered into a strategic partnership with the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT Delhi, and the Atal Incubation Centre (AIC), IIT Delhi, by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at fostering innovation, research, and entrepreneurship in the field of urban mobility and infrastructure.
Promoting Academic Engagement and Entrepreneurship
The MoU will serve as a platform for collaborative research and academic engagement between DMRC and IIT Delhi. It aims to leverage the expertise of the academic and entrepreneurial ecosystem at IIT Delhi to develop technology-driven solutions that enhance the efficiency and sustainability of urban transport systems.
Driving Innovation in Urban Infrastructure
Under this strategic partnership, DMRC and IIT Delhi will explore innovative technologies to address the evolving challenges of urban mobility, including smart transit solutions, intelligent traffic management, and sustainable infrastructure development. The collaboration also seeks to support startups and entrepreneurs through the Atal Incubation Centre, facilitating the translation of research into practical, scalable solutions.
