Raipur: The Central Government has promoted seven officers of the Chhattisgarh State Administrative Service (SAS) to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), according to a notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday.
The promotions are part of the 2024 selection list and have been made to fill vacancies arising between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2024. All officers have been appointed on probation and assigned to the Chhattisgarh cadre.
Officers Promoted to IAS
The seven officers promoted from the Chhattisgarh SAS are:
- Tirathraj Agrawal
- Leena Kosam
- Saumil Ranjan Choubey
- Birendra Bahadur Panchbhai
- Sumit Agrawal
- Sandeep Kumar Agrawal
- Ashish Kumar Tikariha
These promotions mark a significant step in the career progression of these state administrative officers, providing them with opportunities for higher administrative responsibilities at both state and central levels.

Probation and Cadre Allocation
