IAS officer Dr Beela Rajesh (IAS) has been appointed as Part-time Official Director on the Board of NLC India Limited (NLC), an order released on July 10 said. She has been appointed to the post in place of Ramesh Chand Meena, who ceased as Director of the company.
A 1997-batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of Tamil Nadu cadre Dr. Rajesh is posted as Principal Secretary to the Government of Tamil Nadu, Energy Department.
Dr Rajesh has also served as Health Secretary at the Department of Health and Family Welfare of State of Tamil Nadu, and Commissioner, Indian Medicine and Homeopathy, for the state. As a Health Secretary, she played a key role in initiating Hospital Management Information System, under which, patients’ data across Tamil Nadu could be digitised and stored in cloud for future reference and research purposes.
