New Delhi: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved a two-year extension of the central deputation tenure of Dr. Kajal (IAS: 2008, Uttar Pradesh cadre), who is currently serving as Director in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. Her tenure, originally set to expire on April 12, 2026, has now been extended up to April 12, 2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

Dr. Kajal has been on central deputation since April 13, 2021, and has been serving as Director at DPIIT since January 2023.
