New Delhi: Engie India has signed a 300 MW Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC Limited, marking a major step toward India’s renewable energy ambitions. The agreement underscores a shared commitment to climate action, grid resilience, and sustainable growth.
Strengthening Clean Energy Partnerships
The agreement was formalized during a high-level meeting attended by NTPC Chairman and Managing Director Gurdeep Singh, alongside ENGIE’s global leadership team including Paulo Almirante, Mo Hoosen, Amit Jain, and Dhananjay Kumar. The discussions highlighted a joint vision to accelerate India’s energy transition by combining ENGIE’s global expertise in renewable solutions with NTPC’s leadership in power generation.
Driving India’s Renewable Energy Goals
Through this collaboration, ENGIE and NTPC aim to scale up solar power deployment and support India’s target of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity by 2030. The partnership will contribute to lowering carbon emissions, enhancing energy security, and diversifying India’s power mix.
