Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that farmer groups from Madhya Pradesh will be sent to Spain to gain firsthand experience of advanced agricultural, horticultural, and fruit production technologies. The decision was shared during his address to ministers ahead of the cabinet meeting following his successful investment outreach visit to Dubai and Spain from July 13 to 19.
The CM emphasized that Spain’s cutting-edge management in agri and horticulture sectors offers immense learning potential for Madhya Pradesh farmers, helping boost productivity, quality, and sustainability back home.
₹11,119 Cr Investment Proposals; 14,000+ Jobs Expected
Dr. Yadav shared that the international roadshow attracted investment proposals worth ₹11,119 crore, expected to create over 14,000 employment opportunities in the state. The outreach has positioned Madhya Pradesh as an investment-friendly destination across Europe and the Gulf region.
During the trip, MoUs were signed with:
- TEXMAS (Dubai) – for textile cooperation
- Arab Chamber of Commerce – to attract Arab investments
- Submar Technologies S.L. (Spain) – for investments in sustainable digital infrastructure
Investment proposals worth ₹6,801 crore were received in Dubai, spanning infrastructure, steel, hospitality, defense, warehousing, and sustainable cities. In Spain, ₹4,318 crore worth of proposals were received, including a ₹4,000 crore project in advanced biofuel and SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel).
International Push for Green Energy & Natural Farming Products
Highlighting the global interest in green energy and naturally farmed products, Dr. Yadav said Madhya Pradesh will take initiatives to promote its eco-friendly products internationally, aligning with global sustainability trends.
MP to Expand Biosphere Reserves
In a push for biodiversity and environmental conservation, Dr. Yadav informed that proposals have been sent to the Government of India and UNESCO to designate Kanha, Pench, and Bandhavgarh as Biosphere Reserves. This follows the earlier recognitions of Pachmarhi (1999), Achanakmar-Amarkantak (2011), and Panna (2011). The initiative aims to support sustainable development, tourism, and employment.
Fertilizer Distribution Update
CM Yadav informed that out of the 31.52 lakh metric tonnes of Kharif fertilizer stock, 21.05 lakh metric tonnes have been distributed by July 20. An electronic token system is being implemented to ensure smooth distribution at double-lock centers. Transparent communication regarding availability, stocks, and distribution will be shared with local representatives and the public.
Mahakal Procession Invitation to Ministers
The CM also invited all cabinet ministers to participate in the Shravan and Bhadrapada Mahakal Sawari (procession) in Ujjain, emphasizing its spiritual and cultural importance. He appreciated the special arrangements made by the Ujjain administration for the Council of Ministers.
