Four Judicial Officers Appointed as Additional Judges of Telangana High Court

Article 224 of the Indian Constitution provides for the appointment of Additional Judges to High Courts to manage the temporary increase in workload or address pending cases

The Union government has announced the appointment of four Judicial Officers as Additional Judges of the Telangana High Court for a term of two years, effective from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.

The appointees are:

  1. Ms. Tirumala Devi Eada alias Thirupathamma K – Appointed with effect from the date of assuming charge, serving until June 1, 2026.
  2. Ms. Renuka Yara
  3. Mr. Narsing Rao Nandikonda
  4. Mr. Madhusudhan Rao Bobbili Ramaiah

The Supreme Court Collegium approved their elevation on January 11, 2025, and forwarded the recommendations to the President for final approval.

Article 224 of the Indian Constitution provides for the appointment of Additional Judges to High Courts to manage the temporary increase in workload or address pending cases. These judges are appointed for a term not exceeding two years or until the workload normalizes.
