Lonavala / New Delhi: The Thermal Units of NLC India Limited (NLCIL) have been conferred with the “Environment Excellence Gold Award – Thermal Sector (2025)” at the 1st Annual GreenEnviro Environment Awards, held on June 19, 2025, in Lonavala, Maharashtra. This award recognizes NLCIL’s sustained excellence in environmental protection, resource conservation, and alignment with India’s clean energy transition.
The award was presented to the Chief General Manager, Thermal Units, in the esteemed presence of Shri Suresh Prabhu, former Union Railway Minister, and Shri Pasha Patel, former Chairman of the Maharashtra State Agriculture Price Commission.

Award Handed Over to NLCIL CMD
Following the award ceremony, the senior leadership team, led by Shri M. Venkatachalam, Director (Power), and including the Chief General Manager (Thermal), Unit Heads, and Nodal Officer (Thermal Environment), formally handed over the award to Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director, NLC India Ltd., on June 21, 2025.
