New Delhi: GAIL (India) Limited has signed a tripartite concession agreement with the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) and Bengaluru Solid Waste Management Limited (BSWML) to establish a Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) plant at KCDC area, Haralakunte Village, Bengaluru South Taluk. The agreement was formalized on October 16, in the presence of Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar.

18 Acres of Land and 300 TPD of Waste for Green Energy

Under the terms of the agreement, GBA will provide 18 acres of land on a permissive use basis for the project. BSWML will supply 300 tons per day of segregated municipal solid waste, which will be processed to produce 12.6 tons per day of CBG.

Additionally, the plant is expected to generate around 22 tons of Fermented Organic Manure (FOM) daily, contributing to sustainable agriculture and promoting a circular economy.
