On Sunday, the government announced a major administrative reshuffle, transferring the Deputy Commissioner of Reasi and four IAS officers to Jammu and Kashmir.
According to the order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), Nidhi Malik, IAS (AGMUT:2013), awaiting posting orders, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Reasi.
Rupesh Kumar, IAS (AGMUT:2019), also awaiting orders, has been posted as Director, Social Welfare, Jammu.
Shahzad Alam, IAS (AGMUT:2019), has been transferred as Director, Employment, J&K, replacing Nisar Ahmed Wani, JKAS, who has been directed to report to GAD for further posting.
Additionally, Shahzad Alam will hold the additional charge of Chief Executive Officer, Mission Youth, and Mission Director, Mission YUVA, in addition to his own duties until further orders.
Meanwhile, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, JKAS, the outgoing Deputy Commissioner of Reasi, has been assigned the role of Director of tourism, Jammu. The reshuffle aims to enhance administrative efficiency and strengthen governance across various departments.
