In a significant judicial development, the Government of India has announced the transfer of three esteemed judges to the Allahabad High Court. The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended these transfers.

The transfers were made under the powers conferred by Clause (1) of Article 222 of the Constitution of India, following consultations with the Chief Justice of India.
- Justice Arindam Sinha, a Judge of the Orissa High Court, has been transferred to the Allahabad High Court. He has been directed to assume charge of his office there.
- Justice Chandra Dhari Singh, a Judge of the Delhi High Court, will also be transferred to the Allahabad High Court, where he is expected to take up his new responsibilities at the earliest.
- Justice Yashwant Varma, another distinguished Judge from the Delhi High Court, has similarly been transferred to the Allahabad High Court, with instructions to assume his duties in the coming days.
The Ministry of Law & Justice, through its Appointments Division, continues to work towards enhancing the judicial framework and ensuring smooth operations across courts in the country.
