The infrastructure of Jharkhand is growing fast as Chief Minister Mr. Hemant Soren on Monday held a comprehensive review meeting with senior officials of the Road Construction Department at his residential office on Kanke Road. The meeting focused on the design and work plan of three major flyovers proposed in Ranchi city under the state government’s infrastructure development initiatives.
A detailed presentation was given on the proposed flyover from Harmu (Sahajanand Chowk) to the ACB office. Mr. Soren highlighted that the Harmu flyover will significantly reduce traffic congestion on the busy Harmu bypass road, where frequent jams cause inconvenience to commuters. He directed that the flyover should be connected to the Ratu Road flyover for seamless urban mobility.
Harmu Flyover and Progress on Tender Process
The Road Construction Department informed the Chief Minister that the tender process for the Harmu–ACB office flyover has been completed. Mr. Soren noted that its construction will not only improve traffic flow but also save time for citizens, thereby enhancing daily commuting convenience.
Argora Chowk and Kathal Mor Flyover Plan
The Chief Minister also reviewed the proposal for a flyover between Argora Chowk and Kathal Mor. He instructed officials to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) with a robust design and include a roundabout above Argora Chowk. Mr. Soren stressed that such a roundabout would link several important roads, further improving connectivity in Ranchi.
Karam Toli Chowk to Science City Elevated Corridor
The review also included discussions on the proposed four-lane elevated flyover between Karam Toli Chowk and Science City. Mr. Soren examined the detailed design and discussed road construction plans from Doctors Colony to Hill View Bariatu Road, underlining the importance of anticipating future requirements in all flyover projects.
Government’s Commitment to Urban Development
Mr. Soren directed officials to execute these projects with full commitment, ensuring they meet future urban transport needs. He reiterated that building modern infrastructure is a key priority of the state government to ease traffic pressure and provide long-term convenience to citizens.
