Double Shifts For Railway Ministry

The ministry will be working in double shifts following all the necessary Covid19 guidelines.
Indian Masterminds Stories

Railway Minister, Mr. Ashwini Vaishnav after quitting his post as an Odisha cadre IAS officer, has decided that the Railways as a commercial organization must work for 18 hours a day in two shifts.

The first shift will be from 7 am to 4 pm and the second from 3 pm to midnight. A new government culture introduced by the minister may be adopted by other commercial ministries, including the ministry of electronics and information technology, which is also headed by him as a minister in the reshuffle effected last week.

The work schedule ordered by him will ensure social distancing and the ministry staff will work with only half the capacity during this Covid-19 period, whereas he would be able to function for 18 hours to give maximum time to work. He wants other ministers to also adopt such a schedule to enable them to devote maximum time in office.
