With Independence Day coming on Monday next week, the newly appointed Chief Minister of Maharashtra Eknath Shinde issued orders naming ministers who will be conducting flag hoisting ceremonies on August 15 in 19 districts. In the remaining 16 districts, district collectors will hoist the Tricolour.
According to the notice, Mr. Shinde will be hoisting the national flag at the state headquarters in Mantralaya at 9.05 am. Whereas, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will hoist the flag at Nagpur.
